• Once upon a time …

There is only one thing better than curling up under the duvet for a lazy afternoon with a good book – and that’s sharing a favourite read with someone else.

We’re eager little bookworms here at the Flamingo office, so to celebrate World Book Day on March 1st, we’ll each be bringing in our favourites to swap and share. And that doesn’t just mean with each other – we’ll be handing them out too!

So as well as working on our latest projects, this week you can expect us to have our noses between the pages of tomes such as Before I Go To Sleep by SJ Watson, The Great Gatsby by Scot Fitzgerald, Perfume by Patrick Suskind or Down and Out in Paris and London by George Orwell.

World Book Day is also very special to us because of one of our schemes at the Flamingo Foundation.

Our Reading Corner project allows us to create mini areas to encourage little ones to get excited about reading. We kit-out spaces at schools, village halls and playgroups with everything they need to get kids reading – a load of new books sat happily on a bookshelf, chairs and a table and a rug for cosying up on.

If you know the perfect place for a children’s reading corner or have another idea for a project we can really make a difference with, get in touch at hello@flamingo-creative.co.uk.
